Dr. Peter S. Cook, 1927 - 2017
We are sad to report that our friend and colleague Peter Cook died on March 25, 2017. Dr. Cook was a child and family psychiatrist in Sydney, Australia and the author of two books: Early Child Care: Infants and nations at risk, and Mothering Matters: The Sources of Love, and How Our Culture Harms Infants, Women, and Society. His politically incorrect but steadfast advocacy of infants' needs and rights, in an age where daycare is almost never questioned, was a rarity, and his clear, compassionate voice will be missed.
