The Natural Nurturing Network is a U.K.
support network for parents who practice attachment parenting. The
network offers a newsletter, local meetings, local contacts, and a
nation-wide support network.
NNN started in 1994, when Elspeth Campbell,
inspired by the book The Continuum Concept, created a
network for others parenting in similar ways. The website
describes their goals in these ways:
"We share certain ideas about the
nature and needs of people and aim to put these ideas into
practice with regard to ourselves, our children and each other.
We recognize that although these are ideals, reality is often
different.
"We are convinced that people are
born good and social creatures. We are committed to nurturing
our children during their natural stage of dependence with love,
respect and patience, so they may grow up to become responsible,
self-reliant and fulfilled."
