Scanning your picture:
-
Set your scanning software to 200 dpi resolution.
-
When selecting the area to scan, leave extra space around the edge of your
picture (we'll crop it to edge).
-
Choose "save to file", not "scan to email", as
most software reduces resolution with the "scan to email" feature.
-
Save the image as a high-quality (low-compression) .JPG file to a location
where you can easily find it, such as your Desktop.
-
If you've done everything correctly, the image should be at least 1,500 by 1,500
pixels, and the file should be a few megabytes in size.
-
If you don't have a scanner or your picture is too big for your scanner, try
your local print shop.
I have a high-resolution scan of my picture - how do I send it in?
